You’ll want to apply the grade to a separate node on top of the color corrected node. Once you’ve corrected the image, so it’s looking pretty good and fixed any unintentional tints, you can grade it. If the image is feeling particularly yellow, pull the slider in the direction opposite yellow to even the image out. Try dragging the slider in the wheel towards blue and see how the image reacts.

"The Guide to Managing Postproduction for Film, TV, and Digital Distribution" by Susan Spohr & Barbara ClarkĪnd the best book on Film Lab color-correction I've ever read is this one: "Modern Post: Workflow & Techniques for Digital Filmmakers" by Scott Arundale "Color Mania: The Material of Color in Photography and Film"

"Digital Video and HD: Algorithms and Interfaces" "Color Reproduction in Electronic Imaging Systems" "Digital Cinematography: Fundamentals, Tools, Techniques, and Workflows" by David Stump "Color & Mastering for Digital Cinema" by Glenn Kennel "The Art & Technique of Digital Color Correction" by Steve Hullfish Some books I'd recommend (some on color theory, some on color correction in general): Mixing Light, FXPHD, Ripple Training, and Lowepost are the main ones I recommend the most. I don't know if there's anything else I would need but that is what I was wondering and hoping you guys could possibly help me out with. John Daro, Derek Hansen and Chris Jacobson.
